So I recently purchased a new computer, and with that, I decided to pick up two new monitors that were the exact same model. I picked up an Asus 23 inch monitor (Asus VS239H-P 23-Inch Full HD 1920×1080 IPS) that has a maximum resolution of 1080p. I personally do not need more than 1080p monitor at the current time, and for the price, you can’t argue that this is not a good monitor.

Asus is a top-rated company / well-known company and creates excellent products 99% of the time. This monitor is no exception to that 99%.  Personally, it’s quite a steal for me at its price point which is why I picked up two of them. They claim that the monitor has 178 degrees viewing angle, but I really don’t see this in my day-to-day use.

There are all sorts of settings for the colors of the monitor. As a photographer, I have to spend quite a lot of time dialing in the settings and for a new user that might be something that puts them off from purchasing this. However, the preset color options are going to be perfect for most people. Photographers and other designers will want to dial them in just as I did.

The monitor is VESA mount capable which is a good thing for anybody that plans on putting these on any sort of wall or a multi-screen setup on some kind of custom stand. I may do that in the future; I foresee myself having a grid of 4 on a custom stand. At least I think that would be a pretty cool idea and would improve my workflow dramatically.

This next bit may or may not change what you think of the monitor, but it did receive a Pcmag’s Readers Choice Award which to me pretty much means nothing but to some people it does, So I figured I would mention it.

Something I do want to mention in regards to color is some Nvidia users will have weird discoloration which can easily be fixed by the image link below.

I would like to wrap up this post by saying that I highly recommend this Monitor and also to check out our ratings Below in our review box at the bottom of this post.
