The new update to Photoshop CC automatically sets the home screen to the disabled state in the programs preference settings area. I personally didn’t care for the new home screen that they had but it might be of some use to some people out there so I figured I’d make a little post letting them know that it’s possible to turn it back on in the settings. Or if you’re like me and just like it to open like a blank slate ready to go then just update like normal and you’ll be good. Displayed below is how you can turn the setting on and off.
