My review of the Eastshining Microphone Scissor Arm
Hello there everyone! I for the longest time wanted a scissor arm for my Blue Yeti microphone, and I really couldn’t find a reasonably priced solution. Randomly I decided to search for a scissor arm for the microphone that I use on Amazon and I was pleasantly greeted with an Amazon’s choice item that turned out to be the perfect fit.
I’m not exactly sure how to pronounce the company’s name but that’s not really important. If you do know how to pronounce it be sure to explain it to me in the comments because I’m curious.
When I purchased it it was around $20 and it appears to be the same as of writing this review. I would say it’s definitely worth the $20. I don’t have Amazon Prime anymore so I didn’t have super fast shipping but it arrived in very good condition with very minimal damage to the box. The reason I mention that is because sometimes Amazon doesn’t package things very well and you end up with a broken product.
This scissor arm stand comes with an adapter for the Blue Yeti and I believe it adapts for the Blue Snowball as well but I’m not sure. All I know is I use the Blue Yeti and it’s a pretty heavy microphone and it works great. Be sure to measure your desk or wherever you plan on mounting it too! My desk is too thick for it to mount so I had to mount it to a side TV tray to make it work.
I don’t have a whole lot more to say other than if you’re looking for an affordable scissor arm stand for your blue yeti or other microphones then I would definitely recommend this one. It’s good quality it seems nice and strong I’ve had it for about a week now and I love it. I did manage to pull it off of the tray that I had it mounted to but that was due to user error.
One Thing I wish…:
The only thing that I would make a complaint about this product is I wish it had a couple more rotation points throughout the arm to allow it to have additional customization to its movement.
