YouTube has finally taken a step in the right direction. Youtube has decided to make some changes to their copyright system to help creators and potentially protect them from false copyright claims.
All manual claims now require timestamps showing exactly what is claimed. This is a huge and very important change because it will allow creators to find out what exactly is being claimed and to find out if it’s fraudulent or not.
Another thing that is incredibly useful is they are improving the editing tools to allow you to easily remove claimed content and then once you do that it will automatically release the claim.
An additional thing to keep note and record of. They did state that copyright holders who abuse the system will have their rights to use it taken away. Finally!
Listed below are some embedded tweets regarding each of the changes being made to the YouTube copyright system.

More about timestamps ?:
They’ll help you know why you got a manual claim and what part of your video to edit if you choose to make changes.
Copyright owners who repeatedly fail to provide accurate data for timestamps will have their access to manual claiming revoked.
