Welcome to my top 5 SSDs of 2021.

I’m basing this list of SSDs on popularity and my knowledge of the subject matter, online reviews, and other online information.

SSDs are becoming more popular each year. SSD’s have many advantages over traditional hard drives, including faster speeds, lower power consumption, and increased durability due to lack of moving parts. You can expect all SSDs on this list to be somewhat expensive compared to HDD counterparts in the same performance range; however, it is well worth it for what you’re getting in return.

SSDs are the way of the future. HDDs will soon be obsolete. SSD adoption is steadily growing each year as well SSD prices continue to fall, making them more affordable for everyone, including entry-level consumers.

Some additional information on SSDs:

SSDs are faster than traditional hard drives because SSDs do not use platters. SSDs read and write data through flash memory chips that do not require any movement like a traditional hard drive.

SSDs are more reliable than traditional hard drives and can last up to 20 years under normal use. I recommend you buy an SSD if your computer is still using a traditional hard drive or if you need faster access times for programs, apps, or games.

SSDs are generally much faster at encrypting & protecting your data overall.
