Introducing the ‘Servants of Freedom’ Warbond in Helldivers 2
Helldivers 2 continues to expand its universe with the release of the “Servants of Freedom” Warbond on February 6, 2025. This latest addition offers players an array of new weapons, armor sets, stratagems, and cosmetic items to enhance their gameplay experience.
New Weapons:
- LAS-17 Double-Edge Sickle: An upgraded version of the beloved Sickle, this primary weapon delivers increased power but also inflicts damage to the user upon firing, adding a strategic risk-reward element to combat.
- GP-31 Ultimatum: Dubbed a “grenade launcher on steroids,” this secondary weapon is designed for short-range engagements, packing a substantial punch against clustered enemies.
- G-50 Seeker: A throwable device that transforms into a drone, the Seeker follows the player and targets nearby enemies, exploding upon impact. It prioritizes targets that the player pings, offering tactical advantages in battle.
Stratagems:
- B-100 Portable Hellbomb: This deployable Hellbomb comes with a ten-second fuse and can be carried as a backpack item until the player is ready to deploy it, providing flexibility in demolition tasks.
Armor Sets:
- IE-3 Martyr Armor Set: A medium armor that causes the player to explode upon death, dealing damage to surrounding enemies. This feature ensures that even in death, a Helldiver remains a threat to adversaries.
- IE-12 Righteous Armor Set: Similar to the Martyr set, this armor also triggers an explosion upon the player’s death, emphasizing the sacrificial spirit of the Servants of Freedom.
Cosmetic Items:
- Capes and Banners: Players can showcase their dedication with new capes and banners, including “Fre Liberam” and “Per Democrasum,” each symbolizing the unwavering commitment to Super Earth’s ideals.
- Emote and Player Title: The “Raise Weapon” emote and the “Servant of Freedom” player title allow for further personalization and expression within the game.
The “Servants of Freedom” Warbond is available for purchase in the in-game store for 1,000 Super Credits. Once acquired, players can progress through its tiers at their own pace, as Warbonds in Helldivers 2 do not expire.
