It’s time for a Star Seeker announcement video or a review. Not a review, just look.
It’s from the developers of Astroneer. And at first I thought it was just an Astroneer, like update, but it’s a completely different game, but clearly set in the Astroneer universe slash design. So let’s take a look at the video announcement, teaser video, and then look through the screenshots and talk about it, because this is really, really exciting.
So I am going to pause throughout this. But first of all, a creature. That’s cool, right? We’re not used to those in Astroneer.
In this part of the video, we have what looks like gliders. So that’s really neat. You’ll also notice a common theme throughout this whole thing, that there’s a lot of players.
So I’m not sure if this is meant to be like an online experience. I kind of hope not. So that way, you know, we could play it forever sort of thing.
But if it allows up to, you know, 32 players or whatever it is, that. That’s pretty cool too. Let’s continue.
Okay, I’m gonna pause it there. You might not have noticed it shimmering in the background. And of course you can watch this video yourself, so that way you don’t have to see all the pauses.
But in the background there’s a waterfall, there’s water that’s huge, another creature. And then we have Astroneers, or astronauts, whatever we’re calling them in this. I’m assuming Astroneers swimming in the.
In a little lake here, which is cool. And then we also have some climbing up on the rocks or climbing up this hill, cliffside thing. So that’s cool.
You can see why I think this is just basically Estro near two, but under a different name. But either way, let’s continue. Okay, now we have a big creature, possibly a boss fight type thing.
I’m not sure how slash if there’s combat in the game, but I’m assuming so based off of, well, this creature, how it’s acting, how these two players on the left hand side have what appeared to be some sort of weapon. Sorry, I had to sneeze. And then on top of that, well, just kind of common sense.
So now we have this giant hub thing that looks like the players are working towards building like an orbital station, which is awesome. But I mean, I haven’t even counted the amount of players here, but there’s a lot. And then you can see.
I mean, they’re kind of already in an orbital station, so maybe that’s what this is just showing but then there’s rockets taking off in the background. We got some new looking building types and stuff and that’s basically Star Seeker, Astroneer Expeditions. It’s a completely separate game from Astroneer and it looks really, really good.
So let’s just go through the screenshots here real quick just in case there’s some extra details we’re missing. So this is not really in the video they show us or they show the players swimming a little bit but not, you know like this. So that’s cool.
Got some underwater. There’s some fish. I love fish.
There’s that boss again. The gliders, the creatures and the players running away from said creatures. And last but not least, the description of the game.
Oh, looks like the video started playing again. The description of the game. So I’m really excited about this.
