Exterminator Dagger vs Astronomical Shield in Idle Clans ⚔️
When doing general Exterminating in Idle Clans, the Exterminator’s parrying dagger is usually the better off-hand choice compared to the Astronomical shield.
The main reason is simple: the dagger is made for Exterminating. It boosts your offensive stats while fighting Exterminating assignments, which means better damage output, better kill speed, and generally better experience and loot over time.
Dagger = Faster Exterminating
The Exterminator’s parrying dagger gives a 5% offensive stat boost during Exterminating assignments. That may not sound massive, but in an idle game, small percentage boosts stack up fast across hundreds or thousands of kills.
For normal Exterminating, faster kills usually matter more than extra defense, especially if you are already surviving comfortably.
Shield = Safer, But Slower 🛡️
The Astronomical shield is still useful, but mostly as a defensive option. It helps you take less damage, which can be important if you are burning through food, dying, or fighting tougher assignments.
The downside is that it does not really help your melee kill speed the way the dagger does. So while it may keep you alive longer, it usually means slower Exterminating progress.
