If you have been playing WARDOGS and wondering what the tower codes actually do, they are tied to controlling the Hot Zone.

During a match, towers can reveal parts of a four-digit code. Once your team has the complete code, it can be entered at a tower terminal to pull the Hot Zone toward that location.

Why Does That Matter?

The Hot Zone is a higher-value area inside the larger Control Zone. Fighting there can provide increased objective value and additional cash rewards.

That means a team can capture a tower, prepare defenses around it, complete the code, and then bring the most valuable part of the objective toward a position they already control.

Instead of chasing the Hot Zone, you can potentially make the enemy come to you.

The Short Version

Collect the tower code, enter it at a controlled tower, and the Hot Zone can move toward that position.

The codes are not permanent, so you will need to gather the correct digits during each match.

It is a simple mechanic, but it makes controlling towers much more important than they may initially appear.
