Hopefully, in the very near future, I will be able to pick up these two Sony lenses. The reason I’m picking up these two is they both have a purpose, and I’m going to explain their purposes in my opinion below.

Before we get into why I’m picking each lens I do want to say that these lenses are very expensive and by no means am I sitting on a giant pile of cash to where I can pick these up soon or whenever I want. I’m just saying this is the types of lenses that I want to get as soon as I possibly can. That said let’s move on to the Sony lenses and why I’m going to pick them.

Sony FE 85mm f/1.4 GM Lens

The first lens and arguably the most important lens out of this lineup is the Sony FE 85mm f/1.4 GM Lens. This lands is an absolute beast and takes amazing portrait photos. The fact that it is a f/1.4 lens is just astounding to me, and the 85mm creates the right look with portrait photos. Obviously, this lens can be used for other things including low-light video situations but for me I’m more purchasing it for portrait and wedding work.

Sony FE 24-105mm f/4 G OSS LensThe other lens that I’m looking at is the Sony FE 24-105mm f/4 G OSS Lens. This lens is the perfect all-around lens that I will probably have attached to my camera of the majority of the time. Basically, the reason I want this lens is because it’s nice and compact yet has a good zoom range. This lens would be good for out and about sessions that you’re not specifically targeting a certain type of photograph. For example street photography or general journalism type of photography. Some of you may be wondering why I’m picking up a lens that is at f/4, The reason why I’m picking this lens it’s because well it’s the only option like this and f/4 is not really an issue with the Sony A9 being attached to it.

Of course, once I have these lenses and test them out, I will be sure to give you a post talking about them / reviewing them.
