OM Systems OM-1

I have never wanted a camera more in my life than I do right now. This new camera from OM Systems has just been released it is an absolute beast in such a tiny package. Normally I wouldn’t consider a micro four-thirds camera, However with all of the images and videos that I’ve seen posted about this camera I really, really want it! This thing is packed full of features and actually looks fun to use; which is a weird thing to say but most cameras these days seem to have a lot of features but aren’t necessarily fun to use if that makes sense? Also, I wouldn’t forget about its actually affordable price tag. That being said one of their Pro lenses that I would like to have cost nearly $7,000. That one seems to be the only lens that that price range at least for the time being. Most of the lenses that you can buy for this camera are actually really affordable/cheap.

Attached to the bottom of this post are three setups that I have come up with when thinking about purchasing this camera and some various gear that goes with it.

Setup 2 (Intermediate/Middle):

Something to keep in mind when I was setting up the various setups that I showed you above is that I am a wildlife/sports photographer who likes to stay back observe and capture moments instead of being up close and personal. That being said of course I will invest in some more portraiture type lenses at some point but since this is the majority of what I like to do this is what I will be investing in first.

Also, be sure to check out this post by DP review that covers a whole bunch of other details about the camera including the lenses that work best with the camera and or give you the most usability with the camera.
